STORY
In 2026, the Earth is predicted to be destroyed after being caught in a solar explosion. Humanity has already relocated to space colonies, leaving the Earth completely uninhabited.Izuhara, the woman who invented the memory-erasing device known as “Stokesia,” is now working as a university professor. As the destruction of Earth draws near, Himari Yanai, the co-inventor of Stokesia who has been missing for several years, suddenly reappears.Himari tells Izuhara that she has unexplained gaps in her memory from her high school years, particularly from the period when they developed the prototype of Stokesia. With time running out, the two set out to uncover the truth behind those missing memories.

Production Design
As a production designer, I was responsible for designing and constructing of the main set. This is the space where Izuhara and Himari arrive to confront their past memories. This space is like a simulated past, based on their memories from ten years ago, during their high school days. Two key locations, “The classroom” and “The hill behind the school,” are merged into a single, ambiguous environment. This set can be divided into two areas: the classroom and the back hill. The room with red lockers is the classroom. Facing it is the back hill, covered with greenery. To create a more imaginary and blurred atmosphere, the floor is filled with blue-green water. The classroom is built at an angle, leaning toward the water’s surface as if it were slowly sinking. Small hills scattered across the water appear like isolated islands.
